Who I Am Now

Now, at this moment in time…

I am an Eclectic Christian, who goes on the Bible and her spirit to shape her faith. I have very little use for the traditional way of worshipping and the rituals that are often more important than Jesus Christ.

I am a writer. I write praise and worship songs. I have written two novels. One is a horror novel, which is my chosen genre. The other is a book of poems, flash fiction and short stories dedicated to incest survivors. I am working on the second book in the horror novel series.

I am a lover of music, the music of nature, cities, that written down to be played by instrument and sung by voice.

I am a daughter. Blessed with a wonderful mother. My mother really is my best friend, she is wise and funny, perfect for me but still flawed, kind, sweet, loving and has the biggest heart of anyone I know.

I am the descendent of people who have always fought for their right to be, and to be as they choose to be. They have fought oppression at the hands of those who would claim to own them. They have fought inequality at risk to their own lives. They have prospered when others made it their life’s mission to see that they failed. I could not be more proud of the people I come from. Everyone of them is a multi-faceted jewel sewn into the tapestry of my life. I thank God for them.

I am a recovering alcoholic, a former smoker, a past pagan, a former party girl, I have clinical depression and PTSD.

I am clairsentient, clairaudient, clairgustient, clairalient, a touchknow, retrocog, and generally a little spooky. I thank God for these gifts, they help you see the whole picture.

I am a believer in ghosts, poltergeists, good spirits, bad spirits, angels, devils, alien life, otherkin and a host of other things that I happen to know exist. Well, the alien life, I only strongly suspect exist, but the rest, I know.

I am morbidly obese and have recently switched to a whole foods lifestyle. Which in all honesty, has made me pray a whole lot more everyday. It is not an easy switch to make from fast food addict to green smoothie drinker. I will, with the help of God, lose the weight and get healthier.

Oh, and I am the grateful mother of a slightly overweight, tortoiseshell tabby, with huge back feet, loden green eyes and personality to spare.
